About
FEAST Down East Processing & Distribution Program brings local farmers to the table. We do so by marketing and distributing locally grown agricultural products and locally produced value-added foods, such as jams & jellies, pickles & salad dressings, breads & baked goods, and locally roasted coffee. Individuals have access to these local foods through the FEAST Down East Buyers' Club. Local restaurants, markets, schools, hospitals, the Wilmington Housing Authority, assisted living facilities, and other institutions have access to local foods via the FEAST Down East Wholesale Market.
We are located at the historic Train Depot in Burgaw, NC. All of our agricultural products and locally produced foods come to us from within a 100-mile radius.
We also provide flash-freezing and freezer storage of some of our region's best produce, harvested at its peak of flavor. Flash-freezing at the time of harvest allows us to provide fresh-frozen foods to you all year long.
We serve our local farmers by making their products available to you. We also provide educational support and mentoring to our farmers, which helps them succeed at the methods and business of farming.
We serve our local community by making local food accessible to everyone!
The FEAST Down East Processing and Distribution Program is one of many efforts initiated by Feast Down East to help build a strong vibrant local food system in Southeastern North Carolina. To find out more about Feast Down East and how to get involved, visit our home page and explore the website.
