![]() SENC Foods Processing
& Distribution (SENC Foods) is a farmers’ cooperative that is
committed to helping small limited-resource farmers gain access to
local food markets. A collaboration between FEASTDOWNEAST (SENCFS) and farmers
across the Southeastern corridor of North Carolina, SENC Foods eases
the marketing burdens on small and limited resource farmers. It also
makes it easier and more convenient for restaurants, retail markets,
and institutional buyers like schools, hospitals, skilled nursing
facilities, prisons, and area military bases to purchase local
agricultural products. SENC Foods provides:
SENC Foods Processing and Distribution is a program of the Southeastern North Carolina Food System Program (SENCFS), based at the Historic Train Depot in Burgaw, North Carolina. Farmers are invited to join the SENC Foods Farmers’ Cooperative. Food entrepreneurs, restaurants, retail markets, and institutional buyers are invited to purchase locally grown and crafted foods through the SENC Foods Processing and Distribution Center.
