Clarisse Owens, Operations Manager, grew up in Michigan where she learned to love all things food. She's worked on conventional, organic, and biodynamic farms, learning the different responsibilities of growing food. In 2020, she graduated from the University of Michigan with majors in Organizational Studies and Environmental Studies (concentrating in sustainable food systems) and joined FDE's team as Mobile Market Manager. In her current role, she looks forward to supporting more producers and other stakeholders in the region's food system.
Clarisse is passionate about seasonal food and believes in the region's viability to sustain healthy, enriched lives. Having studied in Costa Rica, Tanzania, and Peru, she always welcomes an adventure or the opportunity to help plan a trip.
