The box truck that Feast Down East uses to deliver produce from our farmers from the food hub in Burgaw to our customers twice a week needs a new cooling system. The age of our truck is causing the cooling system to work extra hard to keep the proper temperature, and we have been told it may not last through the summer.

In 2020, we were able to:
Purchase $200,395.13 worth of produce and other farm goods from farmers.

- Purchases which were made from 29 local farms, 10 of which worked with FDE for the first time in 2020.
- The bulk of the purchases were sent out to 43 different wholesale customers, 6 of which worked with FDE for the first time in 2020.
- During year 1, FDE sold a total of 1,420 CSA boxes!
- Our CSA boxes created an additional opportunity to sell farm products for over seven farmers during COVID-19. Our local farmers faced potentially losing entire crops when restaurants and other institutions closed.
- By procuring 10,199 pounds of local food and distributing this food along with other various resources via a total of 1,840 bags from March-May into our local community.
