Sierra Shepherd, Marketing Coordinator, was born in Alaska and grew up in North Carolina. She has always harbored an appreciation for nature, specifically flowers and plants.
 
Sierra graduated from UNC Wilmington in 2015 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. During her time at UNCW, she found joy in writing for student magazines and newspapers about arts and entertainment, two areas that still hold her interest.
 
On the weekends, she frequents concerts and comedy shows around the Carolinas with her partner. The pair, along with their dog, Chewy, also delights in exploring our state parks, collecting patches along the way.
 
In addition to walking for leisure, Sierra finds value in walking for a purpose, participating in 5ks like The WILMA Dash and month-long 100-mile fundraisers to benefit military veterans. When she’s not busy, she likes to visit with her family in Charlotte.
 
Prior to becoming part of the Feast Down East family, Sierra spent three years as a Financial Services Representative at State Employees' Credit Union. She joined FDE to share her heart for the community and hopes to acquire a green thumb along the way.
