Annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser 2025
Feast Down East’s Annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser returns on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at our Food Hub in Burgaw’s Historic Train Depot.
Join us for an evening of fresh North Carolina oysters, seasonal fare, live music and silent auction prices, and directly support local food access and farmers

Proceeds from this event will help ensure local families can continue to access fresh food through SNAP & Fresh Bucks $1-for-$1 matching at our Mobile Markets — providing SNAP recipients with 50% Off up to $50. Your support also helps deliver farm-fresh food purchased from local farmers to community food pantries through our Farmers Fighting Hunger program.

- Food Rx in partnership with Novant Health
In 2024 alone, Feast Down East created over $2 million in community impact, including:
- $468,667 in Food Hub sales supporting 57 local farmers
- $397,062 returned directly to farmers
- 249,000+ pounds of food distributed through the Food Hub
- 496 Mobile Markets hosted, bringing fresh food to neighborhoods with limited access
- $12,773 in SNAP & Fresh Bucks sales and $11,612 in Food Rx vouchers redeemed
- $9,000 in farmer scholarships awarded to help farmers grow and sustain their businesses
