I have had the pleasure of being with such a wonderful team at Feast Down East these past four years. As a respiratory therapy major at UNCW, I was connected with FDE through the Health Equity Bonner Fellowship, which focuses on serving local communities and addressing health-related needs.

Meeting and connecting with the community while making a difference has been a blessing, and it’s even better when you’re with people who truly care. There was never a dull moment whenever I attended a market and I have grown a lot as a person because of these experiences. I’m more confident in talking to others, lending a hand, and having an open ear to anyone, all thanks to this organization.

Since graduating, I’m now off to Dallas, TX to be a registered respiratory therapist at UT Southwestern Medical Center. I’m so grateful for UNCW connecting me with Feast Down East as a Bonner and I will forever cherish these memories.
